The Company was established  when the need for a dedicated provider of wireless connectivity solutions was determined from its association with SoftNet Internet Services.

SoftNet has been an ISP in South Africa for 15 years – one of the oldest ISPs still in existence in South Africa with the ownership and management of SoftNet remaining constant for 16 years. SoftNet has operated in the Lowveld region for its entire existence.

This relationship gives LinkMaxx exposure to the best technological experience in the Loweveld. Through the availability of various ICASA licences, Telkom has given the company access to their existing towers across the country. Experience has been gained and research has been done with the technology and we are confident that what we are using in the field is at the forefront of this technology. The current user base is largely the internet provisioning and other vertical markets. The system is totally adaptable to use for various applications that are unique in the market.
